2020-08-12 14:36

1. In accordance to the announcement issued by the Civil Aviation Administration, General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China on the 20th of July 2020, The Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Indonesia are evaluating the implementation of nucleic acid testing measures in Indonesia. Specific implementation measures will be announced when the requirements are met. Please visit the Embassy website and WeChat official account for further updates. Chinese nationals and foreigners who are passengers on direct flights from Indonesia to China, or transit through countries that do not require COVID-19 negative certificates before flying directly to China, do not need to take nucleic acid tests for COVID-19 before boarding for the time being.

2. Chinese nationals and foreigners who depart from Indonesia for China transiting through Malaysia and other countries that have implemented negative Covid-19 nucleic acid test certificate (please click the link to view the full list of countries), are required to complete a nucleic acid test in Indonesia, and apply for a green health code with "HS" symbol, or Health Declaration Form, which will be examined by Airlines before boarding the transit flights. It should be emphasized that passengers who intend to transit through the above-mentioned countries must apply for the above-mentioned health code or Health Declaration Form in advance as required, and ensure that it is valid at the time of transit. Otherwise, passengers may face unfortunate consequences, such as be denied boarding at the transit point and stranded.

(1) Testing time and Institutions

Nucleic Acid Testing must be done by testing institutions recognized by the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Indonesia, within 5 days prior to boarding.

Within 24 hours upon receipt of negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result certificate, Chinese nationals must declare their personal health condition via the international version of the Epidemic Prevention Health Code mini program on WeChat, and upload photos of their negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result certificate. Upon review and approval, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General will grant a green health code with "HS" symbol. You may click the link below to access "Chinese Nationals Nucleic Acid Test Result Certificate Report Frequently Asked Questions and Answers". It is important to note that travel and transit should be done within the validity period of the health code, making sure to comply with the airline for pre-flight inspections.
